How do I maintain my lawn?
Leaves, sticks, or flower heads can be removed by hand or with a leaf blower.
We recommend the occasional brushing of the grass using a bristle brush. All brushing should be done in the same direction as the blades of grass. By doing this you will have no imperfections.
What do I do if weeds grow through the grass?
It is still possible for some weeds to penetrate through the drainage holes in the turf. Simply remove these by hand or use a complete weed treatment.
What about spills on the lawn?
Nxtgen Synthetic Grass is non absorbent, however we understand life happens and spills will occur
Beer, wine, juice or soft drink should be hosed off with cold/soapy water.
Water based paint should be removed with water.
Oil based paint needs to be quickly soaked with turpentine.
Oil spills can be removed with a mild de-greaser.
Do not use acids on your grass, they could cause irreversible damage.
Chewing Gum can be removed by icing the gum, once hardened scrape off with a blunt knife and wipe any of the remaining gum with methylated spirits.
Cigarette butts should not be extinguished on the grass, this will cause the grass to melt.
How do I clean up after my pets?
Cleaning after pets is easy, pick up any excreta and wash away the remaining parts with a watering can or soft hose. Do not use a pressure sprayer.
Can the turf catch on fire?
Nxtgen synthetic turf is made of a high-quality synthetic material that does not burn, but will melt when it comes into contact with fire and hot objects. With sand-filled artificial turf, the sand has an extinguishing effect and is fireproof. ... With normal use you don't have to worry about your artificial lawn catching fire.
Can I park my car on the lawn?
Motor Vehicles that are parked or driven on the grass, may cause damage. It is not recommended as a motor vehicle trafficable surface.
